Family Home Evening

Every Monday night we try to spend some quality time as a family.  Family Home Evening.

The children quickly gather in the living room where they sit quietly until we are ready to start.  They angelically sing an opening song and then listen attentively as we discuss the up-coming week's schedule.  We then have a short lesson about Christ in which the children give insightful comments.  Afterward, we have a delicious, homemade treat.

At least that's the plan.

Things rarely go as planned.  Generally, each step in the process encounters a snag.  From the "quickly gathering in the living room" (this step takes a minimum of 20 mins.) to the "delicious, homemade treat" (I usually forget and end up digging through the freezer just to find some freezer-burned icecream).

This is how it went last night....

Quality family time.

At least we're trying, right?

Yes! I think I meeded a reminder to loosen up a little and not try to expect too much.

You know what Elder Bednar would say? Consistency! That's all that matters! Way to be consistent!

I love it, it looks so familiar!

This looks like a scene from my house. Except at our house someone usually ends up crying. :)
