Over Labor Day weekend we worked very hard at not working. Instead of working we spent the long weekend with some friends at Bear Lake.
Bear Lake is one of those rare lakes that can trick you into thinking you are actually near an ocean, a very small ocean that is surrouded by mountains, but an ocean none the less. The water is a beautiful turquoise color and the sandy beaches are perfect for building sandcastles, digging big holes, or having a lakeside lunch (sandy sandwiches included).
It was a great weekend. We spent time hiking, four wheeling, swimming at the pool, hanging out at the beach and relaxing at the cabin. Sometimes the best part of a vacation is the break from the regular rountine, this was just the break that we needed.

It sounds like you had so much fun! I think our family needs to take advantage of having a "beach" that is so close! Darling pictures!
It looks and sounds like you guys had a great time, I've heard so much about Bear Lake I hope we can take the girls there some day
