Helicopter Parenting

 I was in my room and I heard this bird making a racket just outside my window.  She went on and on, to the point that I wondered what was making her so stressed.  I went to the back door and scanned the backyard.

There!  

I found what she was worrying about; all four of her little ones were snuggled together on the bottom branch of our pine tree.  

It must have been time for them to learn some of life's lessons on their own, but mama bird wasn't going too far.

Sometimes, I feel like this mama bird.
