Growing in the Summer Sun

Growing in my backyard are feathery, pink and white peonies.  I love them for how they look.

Growing in my garden are impatient, green tomatoes.  I love them for how they'll taste.

Growing outside my kitchen window is a warm summer's day.  I love it for how it makes me feel.

Growing around our house is the freshly mowed grass.  I love it for how it smells. 

Growing in the summer sun are three dirty, energy-filled children.  I love them for who they are, and who they are becoming.
